Baby Calves and Fresh Chicken!

It's been a very eventful time on the farm! 15 beautiful red calves were born with the beef herd and there was even a set of white-faced twins! How unbelievably adorable. Life on the farm keeps turning up something new and it's a wonderful sight to behold. More hay has been baked as the hay pile is slowly getting bigger for the winter. The baler has been cooperative making everyone very grateful! There was some rain last Sunday evening to keep things nice and green. Since then it has quite dry in Lancaster, meaning less weed pulling in the garden.
The pullet chicks were moved down to the chicken pasture in the big pen. They get to spread their wings and roam about freely and enjoy the beautiful June weather. There have been brilliant sunshiny days with fluffy, white clouds floating by in the breezes. It's so nice to have fresh chicken again, isn't it? Prices have been raised a bit on chicken, but the Esh's hope you enjoy the taste of fresh chicken as much as they do! The leftovers have already been eaten up by all.
The cows could really double their milk supply as more cheese, cream, milk, and yogurt is needed. Sometimes, it just doesn't quite reach around enough to satisfy everyone's orders. But, it is in these times when there is a tremendous amount of gratefulness for patience, understanding, and loyalty from YOU, their customers.
