Brilliant Splendor of Days on the Farm

The sun arose in brilliant splendor... What beautiful words Barbie uses to start off this week's news from the farm! The pictures she describes for us are so full of color, love, and happiness. Just close your eyes and imagine those lush hills, bright and green, and full of lush grass from the previous week's rain. Rain is always appreciated and welcomed, and the abundance of it that was received over the past few weeks has contributed to the nourishment of the animals and bringing forth life as they prepare for winter storage.
Things are busy, busy, busy on the farm!
Carpenters are scheduled to come out to make repairs. Chickens are back to being butchered. 125 were cut up and packaged on Saturday afternoon. The cows are happily producing milk that will go for cheese-making that gets sold to YOU, their VIC - very important customers! You are their business and without your support, nothing would get accomplished.
As you wake each day and greet the sun, remember these things:
This is a new day and a new opportunity to fill it with good deeds, thoughts, and actions. Every single moment counts, so live it as if it were your last day. Be kind, generous, compassionate, helpful, thoughtful, loving, and respectful to your neighbors, friends, and all humanity. Put God first and the rest shall follow.
Coming Up Next Week... The Health Benefits of Grass-fed Raw Milk
Farmer John includes an article on how drinking raw milk from grass-fed animals has the most health benefits. Here's a quote from Dr. Francis J. Pottenger -
"The best milk from a nutritional standpoint is raw milk... Heat-treating milk interferes with calcium metabolism causing... delay in bone age and small bones."
More of the article will be included in next week's newsletter, so be sure to check it out for more!
