That is the message from our darling Barbie this week. She reminds us to start our day by brightening up someone else's day or by taking a moment to ourselves to count our blessings.

"Relax and count your blessings, you will succeed in finding them if you slow down and take time to look for them." Barbie Esh - the farmer's daughter.

While you sip your morning dandy blend, water kefir, or a cup of coffee with a splash of fresh cream from the farm, think of all the wonderful nourishment being provided to you. What would you do without the benefits of fresh herbs and vegetables or grass-fed chicken, beef, pork, and dairy?

With the stress of life and the ease of grabbing unhealthy snacks or a bite at a fast-food restaurant, it's no wonder we wind up with stomach aches or headaches. So much of that can be avoided by preparing quick, simple, and easy snacks and meals with ingredients right from the farm!

Need breakfast in a pinch? Try a slice of sourdough einkorn bread with butter and golden honey drizzled over the top. Fresh greens are available, like greens mix and arugula. Make a simple salad for lunch with sliced cherry tomatoes and a few carrots with a sour cream and herb dressing (add a splash of vinegar and maple syrup to make it extra yummy!).

Fresh chicken can be prepared so many different ways for a delicious dinner. And yes, there's chicken again! Whether you bake it, fry it, stew it, or roast it - chicken is super scrumptious!

Need a little inspiration in the kitchen? These recipes are super easy and quite full of flavor. Give them a try. I'm sure the whole family will be pleased!

So Long Summer

September... The time of year when the nights begin to get cooler and the breezes lighter. Insects seem less pesky and the world a bit quieter. But work on the farm keeps going and it has been quite a blessing to have so much to do and provide for the Green Hills Farm loyal customers.

Brilliant Splendor of Days on the Farm

Love is in the air... and so is rain! Barbie shares with us the love and grace that the Lord has blessed upon the Esh's. The abundant rains over the past weeks have brought forth life, providing food and nourishment for the animals as they prepare for winter storage.
