Brrrr… It’s Cold Outside!
Katrina welcomed 11 new puppies at the beginning of the new year and they are growing fast! They are all content and happy pups who are doted on by their loving Mama. And Dexter, the newest member to join the farm, is sure to be great guard dog, using his big and boisterous voice to let everyone know he's around!
A sweet sentiment from our precious Barbie really hits home. It really is your outlook and perspective that can bring joy and happiness to your life every day. Hence...
'Tis the song you sing
And the smile you wear
That makes the sun shine everywhere

Beef Liver is on sale this week for only $7/pound. What's nutritious about beef liver you ask? Well, I'll tell ya! Liver is a nutrient-dense superfood. It is a nutritional POWERHOUSE. Why? Liver is rich in protein, is low in calories, and is packed with essential vitamins and minerals.
Did You Know?... "A small amount of liver provides well over 100% of the RDI or recommended dietary intake for many essential nutrients."
Some of the nutrients found in just a 3.5 ounce serving of beef liver include Vitamins B12, A, B2, B9, iron, copper and choline. Eating a high-quality protein, such as Greenhills Farms beef liver, provides you will all of the essential amino acids, which are the building blocks that make up protein.
How do you prepare liver? I personally LOVE liver and onions! I saute thinly sliced sweet onions in raw grass-fed butter until soft and translucent. Then I add in sliced liver, seasoned with salt, pepper and onion powder. TIP: Slice the liver into strips while it is still partially frozen. It cuts much easier, is less slippery and easier to handle. Cook until no longer pink and the onions melt into the liver. So yummy! Share your favorite liver recipe in the comments!
