5 Unusual But Standing-Ovation Worthy Turkey Recipes

And don't forget to add those organically grown sweet potatoes to your order too! They make a wonderful side dish to go with that yummy, juicy turkey. Whipped, mashed, candied, baked....soooo good any way you make it!

What's sweet potatoes and basted turkey without some fresh butter? You're in luck this week, because regular and unsalted butter is now only $10.50/lb!! Stock up now so you have enough to do your holiday cooking.

There are so many different ways you can use the farm's pastured, organic butter. Here are some ideas that you can incorporate into this year's holiday menu.

Finish Up That Soup

Before serving, add one teaspoon of butter to each bowl of soup for a delicious buttery slick! Buy some butternut or acorn squash for a great starter for Thanksgiving dinner and be sure to float some butter in everyone's bowl of soup.

Compound It

Mix herbs and spices into your butter for a compound rub that will make your turkey juicy and flavorful. Use rosemary, thyme, sage, dill, lemon, salt and pepper and rub it underneath the skin and on top of the turkey before roasting. Roll the compound butter into a log and wrap in parchment paper. Keep in the freezer for future use. It'll be sure to be a big hit!

Pair it Up

Combining butter with olive oil (high in healthy monounsaturated fats) while sauteing or pan-frying adds loads of flavor and color. Great for cooking up fresh veggies or that steak or liver and onions. Hint: Use your compound butter here too for extra flavor!
