Have you heard? John and Annie now have 13 grandchildren! Their oldest daughter Sarah and her husband Amos welcomed their fourth child, Daniel, on July 7th. They now have three girls and one boy. Congratulations to the entire family for this wonderful blessing! Babies are so precious and bring plenty of happiness and love to their families. This little one will definitely be cherished!
New calves are also being born every now and then. I can't even imagine the cuteness of it all! There is now enough milk to send for cheese every week, meaning soon there will be fresh cheeses on the shelves! You can get fresh Monterey Jack, made this spring, now in the store! Mabel, the newest mule on the farm, is a hard worker and brings a lot of energy to the team.
Work continues with manure being spread, grass being mowed, and hay getting baled. A load of fresh straw was delivered and stacked in the barn for winter usage. Barbie gave the Millhouse a fresh coat of paint brightening up the rooms, making them neat and clean. A lot is happening on Green Hills Farm these days and everyone is thankful for the work.
Farm Days are back! Join the Esh's at Green Hills Farm this July 24th and 25th. They plan on providing 3,000 bottles of chocolate milk! That would definitely feed quite a few people. Be sure to look out for more information as the time draws nearer.
An update on the chicken supply - breasts, legs, and thighs is very limited. Chicken liver, hearts, and gizzards are out of stock. However, there are still whole chickens. There are over 1,000 chickens growing so in time the stock will be replenished. There are plenty of eggs again so NO LIMIT ON EGGS!!!! Order as many as your heart desires.
Enjoy this week's newsletter written beautifully by Barbie and Mrs. Annie... Until next week!
